The Irish Institute of Music and Song is a world-facing music organisation that provides unique music experiences and programmes to individuals, communities and businesses. The campus in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin includes historic buildings dating from the 1750s, luxury accommodation, a restaurant, and state-of-the-art music facilities including a 400 seat concert hall. The development also includes a number of music teaching rooms together with ancillary break-out areas for both performers & students.
Paul worked closely with the team involved on this project to ensure safe systems of work were in place. He gave his expertise to ensure safe installation of the building façade.
Key risks on this site included it being built on a very tight footprint right beside an existing music school which was open during the time of build. Paul undertook regular site inspections and audits as well as completing training and toolbox talks. He also completed method statements and risk assessments to ensure the safe completion of this prestigious project.
