Student Accommodation, Belfast

Details

This project delivered 393 student bed spaces over 12 storeys in a tight footprint in Belfast city centre.  The building provides a mixture of cluster beds and studio living spaces.  It has a basement car park, reinforced concrete frame with brickwork, aluminium framed windows with opening louvres for natural ventilation and internal courtyard.

This building is erected on a previously occupied site which shared a party wall with another residential scheme and careful planning of the decommissioning and removal of the existing building was key to avoid issues with the neighbours.

A technical knowledge of the construction industry is paramount on a project of this size. Paul was the health and safety lead on this job for the installation of the specialist façade of the building.

To ensure safe systems of work were in place Paul attended with regular site visits, completing audits, method statements, risk assessments, health and safety training and toolbox talks. His experience, reputation, determination, and knowhow combine to deliver outcomes of an exceptional standard.
